To give you some background, this is not the first step Lenovo has taken to help those facing issues with their products. A couple of weeks back, the company, along with Motorola, announced to offer free global extended warranty on its range of smartphones and accessories. The offer allows users with products having their warranties ending between March 15 to April 30, 2020, an extension for up to 75 days through May 31, 2020. Coming back to the new service offer, Lenovo will be providing 24/7 support for all non-Lenovo desktops and laptops until May 3, 2020, which, as of now, is the day that the extended lockdown period ends in India. During this period, people facing issues with their computers can reach out to Lenovo support at any time of the day on their toll-free number: 1800-419-5253. Currently, the support team can help users out with things like basic operating system-related troubleshooting, identifying problems with hardware or software, assistance on licensed software, and installation of third-party devices like printers and scanners. Besides, the support assistance can also help you guide through slow system related-issues.
Commenting on the initiative, Rahul Agarwal, CEO and Managing Director, Lenovo India, said, “Whether it’s technology or helping those most in need, Lenovo is dedicated to working together to fight this pandemic on every front.” Taking into account the problems and issues that users face on their computers, from the trivial ones to more complex issues, this sure seems like a significant contribution from Lenovo in a situation that has got almost everyone held at home.
